Technology
We make our markers by drilling or otherwise placing an asymmetric pattern, such as but not limited to a 2D data matrix, into a rod, drawing that rod into a fiber, and cutting the fiber into thin sections. The rod material, the pattern, and the diameter and thickness of the sections are determined by customer needs. The markers, their methods of manufacture, and their business uses are covered by United States Patents 6,951,687 and 7,163,744, and by international patents (see Patent Protection for details).
