A complete product authentication system requires, in addition to a marker:
- An adhesive to bond the marker to the marked object
- A camera (with sufficient magnifying power for microscopic markers) to image the marker
- Software to decode the image
- A data storage and retrieval system to track the marked product
Solutions:
- We work with adhesives manufacturers to provide custom application solutions (e.g. pressure sensitive adhesives with embedded markers).
- Commercial-off-the-shelf cameras and decoding software are available.
- Some cameras include embedded decoding software. For some applications, separation of these functions may be preferable.
- Commercial-off-the-shelf information systems with real-time, worldwide entry and retrieval capacities are available.
